Tesha Millers lawyer to make no-case submission today
DEFENCE attorney Bert Samuels, who is representing Spanish Town resident Tesha Miller, is expected to make a no-case submission in the Home Circuit Court, today.
Miller is currently on trial for being an accessory before and after the fact in relation to the June 27, murder of then Jamaica Urban Transit Company Chairman Douglas Chambers.
Chambers was shot dead at the JUTC depot in Spanish Town after he left a meeting to smoke a cigarette outside.
Prior to Samuels request to have the no-case submission today, the prosecutor told the court that one of the three witnesses they had intend to call, could not be found.
The court was also told that a police witness would not be taking the stand as well.
Only one witness had testified in the trial that started on November 13, The witness, a self-styled gangster who said he has been a member of the infamous Spanish Town-based Klansman Gang since he was year-old, is serving a life sentence for murder and a three year sentence for attempted arson.

Alleged leader of the Clansman gang, Tesha Miller, and his 22 co-accused, including Dr. Paul Robinson, are to return to the Home Circuit on December 12, for case management to continue.
The men, except for Dr. Robinson, were remanded when they appeared in court on Thursday.
Earlier in Thursday's proceedings, the prosecutor told the court that defence attorneys had received electronic disclosure ordered by the court during the previous sitting.
But the prosecutor said the index of the disclosed material that was to be served on the defence from September 6, was outstanding.
The crown counsel explained that the prosecution's current equipment is unable to make the documents searchable.
Responding to the judge, the prosecution said it will revise the presentation of the material on the link so the data in relation to each accused person will be in a separate folder and will be disclosed on November
But Mr. Miller's attorney, John Clarke, raised concern about the lack of disclosure on behalf of defence counsel noting that the prosecution was ordered to disclose the documents.

Reputed gangster Tesha Miller dragged to court after refusing to attend
The hearing for accused members of the Tesha Miller faction of the St Catherine-based Klansman Gang on Thursday was delayed for over two hours after Miller refused to be present at court and had to be pried from the Tower Street correctional facility by members of the counter terrorism and organised crime unit (CTOC).
Miller, clad in a white t-shirt and red short pants, sauntered into courtroom number 1 of the Supreme Court in downtown Kingston after all his co-accused were already seated, and promptly took his seat at the back of the main dock before stubbornly refusing to move to the seat reserved for him in the front.
Attorney for Miller, John Clarke, addressing Supreme Court Judge Justice Vinette Graham-Allen after the hearing got underway, said his client had been used for a punching bag and would require medical attention.
Justice Graham Allen in issuing a formal order for Miller to receive medical attention said she would address the accused ma
