Tahereh Saffarzadeh (fa| طاهره صفارزاده , in Sirjan, Kerman Province, Iran – October 25, in Tehran, Iran) was an Iranian poet, writer, translator and prominent university professor.[1]
Education
She received her BA in English language and literature in Several years later she left Iran for England and then to the United States. Upon being accepted as a member of International Writing Program, she also enrolled for M. F. A program which is essentially designed so as to enable the writers, the poets, the painters etc., to teach their fields of art both in practical workshops and theoretical courses, at university level. For her degree she studied major contemporary world literature with a special focus on practical literary criticism and translation workshops.[2]

Tahereh Saffarzadeh war eine bekannte Dichterin, Autorin, Übersetzerin und Hochschullehrerin der Islamischen Republik Iran.
Sie wurde in Sirdschan in der Provinz Kerman geboren. Ihre Schullaufbahn mündete in ein Studium mit dem Abschluss eines BA in englischer Sprache und Literatur. Jahre später verließ sie Iran und reiste nach England und in die USA.
Sie schrieb 14 Bände mit Gedichten und zudem zehn Bücher zum Thema der Übersetzung von religiösen Texten. Besonders ihre Arbeiten zum wissenschaftlichen Fortschritt auf Basis von Übersetzungen fanden großen Anklang. In ihrem Buch "Übersetzung der grundsätzlichen Bedeutung des Heiligen Qur'an" () ging sie auf viele Fehler in englischen Übersetzungen ein. Aufbauend auf dieser Untersuchung veröffentlichte sie eine bilinguale Übersetzung des Heiligen Qur'an ins Persische und Englische. Die Arbeit gilt als die erste bilinguale Übersetzung des Heiligen Qur'an überhaupt.

A place in Tehran District 1 would be named after the eminent Iranian female personality Tahereh Saffarzadeh, Secretary of the Second Literature and Science Festival of Tahereh Saffarzadeh announced.
Speaking at a press conference at the Art Bureau of the Islamic Development Organization, Reza Esmaeeli said on Tuesday that over works have been received by the special section of the festival, which is titled - Lady of Culture: Tahereh Saffarzadeh, IRNA quoted him as saying.
The second congress in honor of Saffarzadeh, author, translator and holy Qur’an researcher will commence on October 26, on her 7th death anniversary, at the Art Bureau.
All Iranian women are invited to send their works and cultural resume to the festival secretariat.
The annual festival contains three sections: poetry, literary essays and research, and student dissertations. Winners will be chosen in each section and two others would also be acclaimed.
Along with the festival some books on the life and works of Saffarzadeh will be unveiled including a book of poems titled ‘A Tribute to Awakening’ and her biography ‘The Religion of the Awake.’ Saffarzadeh’s stamp

Tahereh Saffarzadeh was born in Sirjan, Kerman Province, Iran in She was a researcher, translator, university professor, and finally an exceptionally innovative and modernist poet in contemporary Iranian poetry. The vicissitudes of her academic life began from studying in American universities and concluded to research and starting the translation ward in Iran. She was a poet who preferred to nurture her homeland’s offspring over achieving fame abroad. This “female Muslim scholar’s” collection of poetry is a blend of modernism and deep Islamic-humanitarian roots.
Without a doubt, none among her contemporaries composing modern religious blank verse have been so verbally and contextually elevated, even to this day.
