Chris Weitz grew up in an environment conducive to careers in cinema. His grandfather is legendary agent Paul Kohner who represented stars like John Huston , Billy Wilder and Ingrid Bergman . Her father is the fashion designer and writer John Weitz and her mother is the actress Susan Kohner .
A graduate of British literature at the University of Cambridge in England, Chris Weitz began working as a journalist before becoming a screenwriter like his brother Paul Weitz .
