Martijn Garritsen, known by his stage name Martin Garrix, was born on May 14, , in Amstelveen, Netherlands. He developed a passion for music at the young age of four when he started learning the guitar. By the age of eight, Garrix became interested in the DJ culture after witnessing Tiesto's performance at the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Athens.
