Radovan Vlatković (born ) is a Croatian-born horn player. He was the former principal horn of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra (now Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin). He left that post in to devote himself to a solo career and has recorded many of the major works for horn. He is now professor of horn at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria and at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid. Vlatković also participates as a senior artist at the Marlboro Music Festival, and has performed in chamber music and solo recital for the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society and Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
As a student Vlatković claimed prizes at the International Horn Compe*ion in Liége, Belgium, at the 12th Yugoslavian Music Compe*ion and at the "Premio Ancona" Compe*ion in Italy. When Vlatković was awarded the First Prize at the ARD International Compe*ion in Munich in , it had not been awarded to a horn player for 14 years.

Damit war er der erste Hornist nach vierzehn Jahren, der mit diesem Preis ausgezeichnet wurde. Es folgten Einladungen aus der ganzen Welt. Doch erst ab verließ Vlatković das heutige Deutsche Symphonie-Orchester Berlin – dort war er acht Jahre lang Erster Hornist –, zugunsten seiner Solokarriere.
Bis heute zählt er zu den meistgefragten Hornisten seiner Generation, sowohl als Solist sowie als Kammermusiker, und konzertierte bereits mit dem Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, dem BBC Symphony Orchestra London und der Academy of St Martin in the Fields. Zu seinen regelmäßigen Kammermusikpartnern zählen András Schiff, Heinz Holliger und Peter Schreier.

Radovan Vlatković
One of the leading instrumentalists of his generation, Radovan Vlatković has travelled the globe performing extensively as a soloist and popularising the horn as recording artist and teacher.
Born in Zagreb in he completed his studies with Professor Prerad Detiček at the Zagreb Academy of Music and Professor Michael Höltzel at the Music Academy in Detmold, Germany. Radovan Vlatković is the recipient of many first prizes in national and international competitions, including the Premio Ancona in and the ARD Competition in Munich in – the first to be awarded to a horn player for fourteen years. This led to numerous invitations to music festivals throughout Europe including Salzburg, Vienna, Edinburgh and Dubrovnik to name but a few, the Americas, Australia, Israel, Korea as well as regular appearances in Japan.
From until he served as Principal Horn with the Radio Symphony Orchestra Berlin (now Deutsches Symphonie Orchester) under Maestros Riccardo Chailly and Vladimir Ashkenazy.
